Information Systems Manager

Responsible  for ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS   Leads the IT Department in operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.   Manages  the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of the main application hardware and software; as well as all other IT systems, including servers PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and related security in all environments.   Manages all company communication devices including networks as well as phone systems, lines and numbers.   Manages and ensures effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, virus/spyware/malware/etc. detection solutions.   Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.   Oversees end-user services, including help desk and technical support services during normal business hours and on an on call basis.   Works with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations, and then research and procure such technology solutions.   Oversees and monitors software performance testing on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.   Ensures that any new software integrated into company systems meets functional requirements, systems compliance, and interface specifications in accordance with licensing agreements.   Developments of the financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and obtaining required approvals.   Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives throughout the organization.   Approves and oversees projects and project portfolio.     OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS   Keeps department current with the latest technologies.   Develops, implements, monitors and maintains all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.   Negotiates and administers vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements.   Practices asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.   Ensures the efficient utilization of IT resources - including personnel and equipment - across the organization.   Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.     REQUIREMENTS   Requires a Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science and 4 years related work experience.   General technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.   Application supportexperience with J.D. Edwards and most common Microsoft applications, cloud and mobile technologies.   Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.   Proven professional communication, interpersonal, presentation, and customer service skills.   In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy and security practices and laws.   Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, and so on.   Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills and the ability to read and interpret technical material.   Proven computer skills and knowledge of Seedway supported software, hardware, peripherals, and IT processes.   Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.   Ability to disassemble desktop computer systems, box them in cartons for shipping, transport them to a vehicle, remove them from the vehicle, unpack them and re-assemble them.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
