The cook is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and food service for the center. The cook will ensure safe and sanitary storage, preparation and handling of food. He or she will clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

Responsibilities:
All areas of the kitchen are to be maintained in an appropriate manner (neat, clean, and free of clutter) to ensure safety.
Excellent personal hygiene is required, and includes but is not limite to, washing hands before handling, preparing or serving food.
Requisition food, food-service supplies and equipment, based upon estimates of future needs, with the approval of the director.
Check-in ordered foods and supplies in accordance with the Sanitation and Safet Manual and ServSafe.
Store foods and supplies in appropriate areas according to FIFO principlest, as described in the Sanitation and Safety Manual, and ServSafe.
Follow the current meal patterns of the USDA Child and Adult Food Program.
Monitor temperature of food and equipment as specified in the Sanitation and Safety Manual and ServSafe.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils and cooking equipment after each meal service.
Remove garbage and waste from kitchen and serving areas after each meal service.
Other duties as assigned by the Center Director.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
