Key ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Accountant at Innovetive Petcare, you will handle a diverse array of key monthly accounting activities.
You will support various accounting and finance projects.
The role requires strong collaboration and a high attention to detail.

Complete monthly close activities, ensuring monthly financial statements are accurate and appropriately stated for each veterinary practice and corporate.
Record journal entries and prepare supporting month-end close schedules.
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Evaluate and streamline accounting processes for scalability, automations, and document procedures.
Evaluate and implement accounting/finance systems, automations, or enhancements to streamline accounting operations for scalability.
Responsible for accounting for inventory, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, debt, and various other areas.
Analyze and review inventory stock values to ensure accuracy.
Perform controls over inventory and collaborate with clinic leadership to assess any needed adjustments.
Review monthly clinic financials to ensure accuracy, identify callouts to increase the focus of statement users on certain areas.
Act as finance business partner to build relationships and support a clinic portfolio and other departments.
Supports year-end audit and compliance activities.
Perform financial related integration activities for newly acquired practices.
Act as backup for other finance team members.
Willingness to foster a positive and fun work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Skills, Knowledge, and ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in accounting required.
Experience in public accounting strongly preferred.
Multi location or entity experience a must.
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical and accounting experience skills are a must.
Strong communication, time management and prioritization skills.
Proven track record of successfully meeting deadlines while producing high quality work.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving, and results.
Ability to translate financial concepts to people of all professional backgrounds.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Sage Intacct preferred, not required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
