Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen in a nursing home setting.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure a high standard of service.
Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan and execute nutritious and appetizing meals for our residents.
Monitor food preparation, presentation, and quality to meet regulatory and dietary requirements.
Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs within budgetary constraints.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
Qualifications of a Kitchen Supervisor:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare or nursing home kitchen.
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines for elderly residents.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, dietary teams, and other departments.
Understanding of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene.
