Review and verify insurance coverage and eligibility for residents.
Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary.
Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance-related issues.
Communicate with insurance companies, residents, and families regarding billing inquiries.
Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated on insurance regulations and coding requirements.
Qualifications of an Insurance Billing Specialist:
Experience in insurance billing or medical billing in a longterm care is preferred.
